Left Ventricle Function Assessment

LVF refers to Left Ventricle Function. Heart failure patients should have the function of the main pumping chamber of the heart (which is the left ventricle) checked during their hospitalization. This measure reports what percentage of patients with heart failure receive an in-depth evaluation of heart muscle function. This evaluation is important in order to get the right treatment for the patient's heart failure.
