The CRPC Outreach Program is pleased to offer a Pediatric Emergency Care Regional Event at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt on Saturday, Jan. 29, from 7:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. (lectures) and 2-4 p.m. (simulations).
Registration begins at 7 a.m. with lectures starting at 7:30 a.m. Topics include (one hour each):
Documentation in High Risk Cases (Jenny Slayton, R.N.)
Update in Pediatric Resuscitation (Thomas J. Abramo, M.D.)
Pediatric Airway (Leah Harris, M.D.)
Non-accidental Trauma (Deborah Lowen, M.D.)
Pediatric Case Studies (Mark Meredith, M.D.)
Total cost for the full day is $45. To attend the lectures only, the cost is $20, payable in advance. For an additional $25, we will have simulations in the afternoon from 2-4 p.m. (one hour on Pediatric Medical and one hour on Pediatric Trauma.) There is space for 42 people to participate in the full day of lectures and simulations. There is no option to attend simulations without lectures. Lunch is not included. In the past, we have accepted payment on the day of the event only, but in 2011, we will ONLY be taking payment in advance online. People who arrive at the class without registering and paying in advance will be asked to wait until class begins to see if there is space available. If you pre-register and pay, but then discover you cannot attend, you may transfer your admission to someone else, or arrange to attend a future CRPC Outreach event. No refunds will be issued.
