| This new national continuing education program is designed to provide health care professionals with a better understanding of the pathophysiology of disease processes. This two day course incorporates lecture with case based scenarios to instruct students in medical emergencies. Subjects include: shock, chest pain, altered mental status, and respiratory emergencies. A course completion card is provided by the National Association of EMT's. | This workshop is designed to lead participants in a comprehensive trauma resuscitation and airway immersion experience. The workshop will be taught by expert instructors and will focus on critical knowledge enhancement, theory, decision making and technical skills. Participants will receive special instruction in resuscitation, the adult/pediatric airway, the trauma airway, difficult airway situations, and rescue/salvage airway techniques. Resuscitation and airway management are two of the most important skills in EMS. The Advanced Skills Lab will challenge you in both skill and theory! | ||

| Info | Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support courses are nationally recognized continuing education programs for pre-hospital emergency health care professionals that bring the care of the trauma patient into a single focus. PHTLS courses provide a pre-hospital trauma care philosophy, stressing the need to treat the multisystem trauma patient as a unique entity with specific needs. This may require an approach to the trauma patient that varies from traditional treatment modalities. As a continuing education program, it contains information that may be a review for some or all participants. EMT's, Paramedics, RN's, and interested allied health fields.
