Monthly Reflection

All growth is a leap in the dark, a spontaneous, unpremeditated act without benefit of experience.

Class Descriptions

Therapeutic Yoga
These yoga classes are slow and mainly focus on taking care of your own body.  The classes may be used as a continuation of your specialty yoga series for fibromyalgia, arthritis, migraine, and other chronic conditions, but attendance to a series is not required first.  Every level of ability is welcome to join and modifications will be suggested for each pose.  Focus will be on the breath, relaxation, and working with and through any chronic pain to find some sense of letting go.

Gentle Yoga
These yoga classes are geared to create a balance in the body through developing both strength and flexibility.  Students will learn gentle movements, postures, slow deep-breathing, meditation and relaxation at their own pace.  Each pose can be modified or adapted for all levels and abilities.  Expect to be challenged while staying focused on the breath, body awareness, and relaxation.

Yoga Level 1/2
This class is the most challenging of all our therapeutic classes.  Expect to be work deeper in the body to find the strength and surrender that comes with a more experienced practice.  Students must have prior yoga experience.  Modifications will be made but one is expected to have body awareness and know how to take care of their own body in a class.
