Are Clinical Trials Safe?
The Vanderbilt Committee for Protection of Human Subjects of the Institutional Review Board ensures the safety of all individuals enrolled in clinical trials at Vanderbilt. Committee members include representatives from the community, physicians and lay persons. Participation in a clinical trial is voluntary, and individuals are able to withdraw from the study at any time.
