Our Red Coat volunteers help provide directions and escort patients to Vanderbilt Heart clinic locations. In addition to greeting all Vanderbilt Heart clinic patients at the two valet locations, the Red Coat volunteers:

  • assist patients with transport services when needed
  • help patients' family and friends locate loved ones who are in the intensive care unit of the Heart Institute
  • guide patients and family members around renovation that is taking place in our cath/EP labs
  • provide feedback on concerns or problems expressed by patients when trying to navigate VHVI's campus
  • support Vanderbilt Heart by being active community advocates for heart care services by maintaining positive relationship/communications flow with our patients
