Honor Your Health Care Provider
With over one million patient visits each year, Vanderbilt Medical Center is a health care destination for patients from all over the nation who seek specialty care in many areas such as cancer treatment, cardiovascular care, neurologically related care and pediatric services. We are also the only trauma center in our region providing the highest level of trauma and burn care available. Last year, we provided $158 million in charity and uncompensated care.
Vanderbilt Medical Center is a nonprofit academic medical center with a national and international reputation for excellence in patient care, scientific research and medical training programs. As such, we depend upon charitable contributions of all sizes to carry out our mission of healing and discovery.
There are many ways you can support our mission. One of them is by making a financial contribution in honor of your doctor, a special nurse, or someone else who has been especially helpful to you during your Vanderbilt Medical Center experience.
Honor your Physician
Vanderbilt Medical Center doctors work every day to keep you healthy. When you experience illness, you turn to these same doctors to restore your health. A gift in honor of your doctor or a group of doctors is one more way to say, “Thanks” and to ensure future patients have the same –or greater level of care we enjoy today. Once your gift is made, we send the honorees a note letting them know a gift (but not the amount) has been made in their name.
Thank a Nurse
Nurses are critical health care provide
rs who pay close attention to our needs and experience during clinic visits and hospitalization. One way to let a nurse or nursing team know that they made a difference for you or a loved one is to make a financial gift in their honor. We will make them aware of your tribute, while keeping the amount of your gift confidential.
