Orthodontic problems require specialized care. Patients who have dental and facial irregularities should be cared for by an orthodontist. Our orthodontists have specific qualifications in the design, application and control of corrective appliances. Using these skills, we can bring teeth, lips and jaws into proper alignment for optimal facial balance.
In addition to orthodontic treatment for children and adults, we treat craniofacial and dentofacial conditions like cleft lip and palate, prognathia, micronathia and obstructive sleep apnea. We work closely with the Vanderbilt Departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Neurology and others to treat these complex cases that require multidisciplinary care.
