'Get Fit' & 'Get Fit with Diabetes'
"Get Fit" and "Get Fit with Diabetes" are two programs currently offerred at the Vanderbilt Dayani Center that help those individuals, who are willing to make changes in their diet and exercise habits, to achieve a healthier lifestyle and an improved quality of life. Guidance will be provided from a registered dietitian (RD) and an exercise specialist for the duration of the program and one-on-one sessions will be scheduled for individual guidance. For those individuals with diabetes, please be aware that active management of blood sugar must be in place. This program structure will greatly assist any individual who may be struggling with weight loss, which is especially difficult with certain health concerns. If you want to learn how to promote healthy weight loss by making smart and healthful diet and physical activity changes, then this could be for you! 
Program Features:
Nutrition, exercise, and diabetes support, knowledge, and plans from talented practitioners:
Three (3) one-on-one nutrition consults with our Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator, Deanna Dillon, RD, LDN, CDE
Three (3) one-on-one personal training sessions with a certified Exercise Specialist.
Limited 3-month membership to the wellness center, with an allowance to work-out 3 times each week*
A 2-hr group lecture on safe weight loss with diet and exercise while managing your diabetes
Fees:
Cost is $550 and can be payroll deducted for VUMC employees.
