Upper Body Exercises

Biceps Curl

Pull resistance up toward shoulders.  Go past 90 degrees.

Push Up With Exercise Ball
Add an exercise ball to a traditional upper body exercise to increase intensity by decreasing stability.  Note: this exercise is not for beginners.

Row
Long-sit with resistive band around feet, hands firmly holding ends.  Pull elbows back.

Shoulder Press
Start with the weight at your side just above your shoulders.  Raise the weight up without locking your elbows, keeping your abdomen tight.  Lower the weight to the starting position and repeat.

Lateral Raise
Start with the weight at your side with your back and head straight.  Raise your weight to the side with a slight bend in your arms, until level with the ground.  Be careful not to raise the weight past shoulder level.  Slowly lower the weight back to starting position and repeat.
