What do I need to do?

• Make an appointment with the Membership Coordinator by calling the front desk at (615) 322-4751.
• Click here to access online membership forms. Complete these as much as possible and bring them with you to your scheduled appointment with the Membership Coordinator. 

What can I expect?

• At the time of your appointment with the membership coordinator, you will be given a tour of the center (if needed), informed of member benefits and classes, and be given a chance to have your questions answered.  Your medical history will be briefly reviewed.  At this time you will be asked to pay your enrollment fee by check, credit card, or cash.
• Medical clearance will be requested, as indicated, at time of screening.  Males 45 or older, females 55 or older, and all individuals over 65 years of age will need physician clearance before beginning an exercise program at the Vanderbilt Dayani Center for Health & Wellness.  Individuals over 65 who have not recently had a stress test or a test of a similar nature will be asked to receive this type medical clearance.   
• One (1) free parking pass will be provided to those community members who have need to utilize the Dayani parking lot.  Vanderbilt employees are asked to park where they normally do for work.  However, if a Vanderbilt employee needs parking at the center between the hours of 6 a.m. and 5 p.m., then a parking pass can be purchased for $10 per month.      
   

What is the next step?

• If you are 65 or older, you will be asked to meet with the director of the senior program, Barbara Forbes.  This session is required for our seniors and is included with membership!  Barbara will help you get the most out of your time at Dayani!
• After medical clearance has been received, you are eligible to meet with one of our exercise specialists for a one-hour clinical personal training ("CPT") appointment.  At that time, a safe exercise program can be set up for you. This service is provided to you as a part of your membership.  There is no additional charge for this!
