Nutrition Services

With our ever increasing technology and busy schedules, Americans on the whole move less and eat more unhealthy and fast foods.  As a result of this and other lifestyle factors, obesity is quickly becoming a concern for the majority of our population.  Currently, 65% of U.S. residents are overweight or obese.

Being overweight is not just about physical appearance.  It puts you at risk for many chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and some cancers.

Many of these conditions can be prevented or controlled by choosing a healthier lifestyle that includes good nutrition and physical activity.  If you are overweight or obese, research has shown that decreasing weight by 10% can greatly improve blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar, while also decreasing your risk of developing the above mentioned chronic conditions.

Healthy eating does not mean giving up your favorite foods.  It is learning to incorporate a few small, consistent food changes into your lifestyle.  The choice is up to you!
