Vanderbilt Weight Management Workshop for Adults
The Vanderbilt Dayani Center offers a 20-week Weight Management Workshops for adults, designed to help participants make healthy lifestyle changes in the areas of nutrition, physical activity, and motivation.
Each Weight Management Workshop is taught by a team that includes an Exercise Physiologist, a Registered Dietitian, and a Clinical Health Psychologist.

The Workshop Includes
- Free 1-hour orientation session with no obligation to enroll in the workshop
- 20- week education program (weekly 1 hour meetings) and education materials
- Digital pedometer, computerized step tracking program, walking group, exercise buddy program, and private optional weekly weigh-ins.
- Membership at the Dayani fitness and wellness facility for 4 months (indoor lap pool, walking track, group cycling, water aerobics, yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, cardio and strength training)
- 1-hour personal training session to help you to get started with safe and appropriate exercise, plus access to weekly 15-minute exercise instruction sessions
- The option to attend additional health education classes and participate in additional health screening (e.g., cholesterol, blood sugar) offered during your 4 month membership.
- 1-year follow-up program with monthly meetings, walking groups, and optional weigh-ins
Fee
Workshop Fee: $695 includes the entire 17 month program described above (4 month workshop and membership at center, personal training, 12 month follow-up, etc.)
$495 for full-time Vanderbilt employees and for current Dayani Center members
* Vanderbilt Partial Reimbursement: Full-time Vanderbilt employees who complete the program may qualify for reimbursement of up to $142.50 of their fee, courtesy of Vanderbilt’s HEALTH Plus Faculty & Staff Health and Wellness Program.
Important: As these workshops fill up quickly, reservations are required to attend the orientation sessions. However, attending the orientation sessions does not obligate you to enroll in the program.
