Jumpstart Exercise Motivation Workshops


The JumpStart Exercise Motivation Workshop focuses primarily on psychological strategies for increasing motivation and preventing dropout from exercise. In addition, participants receive an introduction on how to engage in safe and appropriate forms of exercise.

The workshop consists of a free orientation session with no obligation to enroll, 8 hours of weekly group education, PLUS two months of full use of the Vanderbilt Dayani exercise facility (i.e. indoor lap pool, indoor walking track, cardio & strength training equipment). Participants in the workshop also have access to group exercise classes such as Yoga, Cycling, and Water Aerobics.

Noon and Evening workshops are offered at the Dayani Center.

Fees

The fee for the program offered is $275 for Vanderbilt employees and adult members of their immediate family; $150 for current Dayani Center members. Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card. Payroll deduction over 6 months ($45.83 per month) or 12 months ($22.95 per month) is available for Vanderbilt employees.
