When the diagnosis is a brain tumor, the first step may be the most important. It's vital to take your time, consider all your options, and make informed decisions.
The Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC)'s Brain Tumor Center is at the forefront of new technology and therapies for brain cancer. We are the only Comprehensive Cancer Center in Tennessee designated by the National Cancer Institute that treats adults and children. This places us in the top echelon of cancer centers nationwide. We are consistently ranked for excellence in cancer care by U.S. News & World Report.
Experience Matters: We have the most experienced team in Middle Tennessee and are nationally renowned for innovation and clinical excellence in brain cancer diagnosis and treatment. Our highly skilled brain surgeons have many decades of experience and have performed over 6200 surgeries. We are experienced at treating complex cases as well as patients who have other high-risk health conditions.
Brain Tumor Expertise: Our highly skilled brain cancer team involves experts from many specialties, which means each patient receives a customized treatment plan from day one. Our multidisciplinary "tumor board" meets regularly to share expertise from many specialties in order to personalize care for every patient. We offer 4 neuro-oncology trained surgeons who have extensive experience treating brain cancer.
Precise Treatments: Using the most advanced technology for effective and safe radiation treatment, we offer excellent outcomes through precise, powerful therapies that preserve healthy tissue and shorten treatment time.
Treating the Whole Person: A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. That’s why we offer support, education, wellness services and a Survivorship Clinic that focuses on your well-being even after your treatment is complete.
