The Vanderbilt Sarcoma Center

The Vanderbilt Sarcoma Center offers outstanding care for adults and children with bone and/or soft tissue sarcomas. Tumors of the pelvis, spine, limbs and abdominal cavity are evaluated by our surgical oncologic team. Our approach uses evolving innovations in limb salvage, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, physical therapy and expert clinical care. We care for more than 300 new sarcoma patients each year.

Primary malignancies of bone and soft tissue, referred to as sarcomas, are some of the rarest tumors in medicine. These tumors account for less than 2 percent of all cancers. Evidence-based medicine has shown that the critical difference in treating sarcomas is a multidisciplinary approach.
